2. Accounts & eligibility

• You must provide accurate information (name, email/phone, grade, district) and keep credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Minimum age uses your institution’s policy and Sri Lankan law; under-18 accounts require parent/guardian or institution consent.
• We use device binding to prevent account sharing — one account can be active on one trusted device at a time; switching devices requires verification. Compromised or rooted/jailbroken devices may be blocked when root protection is enabled.
• Guest mode (if shown) has limited access. Subscription-gated directories require active membership.

3. Acceptable use — please don’t

• Share, record, screenshot or redistribute paid content when screenshot/secure-content protection is active.
• Circumvent access controls (free vs paid), subscription checks, or try to access another institution’s data.
• Upload unlawful, infringing, harassing or misleading content to feeds, comments or directories.
• Probe, scrape or overload Firebase/secure cloud, attempt to extract other users’ tokens, or reverse engineer the apps.
• Share your account with others — each account is device-locked to one trusted device.
• Impersonate others or create multiple accounts to evade blocks.

4. Content & intellectual property

• Institution content: courses, directories, videos, PDFs and exams you upload remain owned by the institution or its licensors. You grant us a license to host and deliver it to entitled members.
• Your posts: you retain rights to feed posts/comments you create and grant the institution and us a license to display them within the platform.
• Our IP: the apps, design, and classroom_shared models are owned by us. Don’t copy or reuse them outside the service.
• If you believe content infringes, contact support with details (content URL, proof). We act promptly.

5. Payments & subscriptions

• Directories may be free or paid. Prices (price, price visibility) and access are set by your institution, not by us.
• Subscriptions link directories to membership periods. Access is calculated in real time (your subscription is checked) — expiry ends access automatically.
• Refunds, discounts and payment methods are per institution policy. Contact your academy first; we help them resolve billing issues.
• We may display price, status and renewal info inside the app/dashboard for transparency.

6. Availability & changes

• We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update features (e.g., add content types), patch security, or schedule maintenance.
• We may change these Terms. Material changes will be notified via app/dashboard; continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
• Features like offline cache, push notifications and district analytics may depend on device, OS and network.

7. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law:

• We do not warrant that content is error-free or that exams/polls will meet every curriculum need — your institution is responsible for pedagogy.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or loss of data/revenue, except where caused by our wilful misconduct.
• Our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid (if any) for the service in the 3 months before the claim, or where you paid nothing, to LKR 10,000.
• Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by Sri Lankan law.

8. Suspension & termination

• You may stop using the apps at any time and request deletion via your institution or support.
• We or your institution may suspend or terminate access for breach, fraud, non-payment, inactivity (per institution policy), or legal requirement.
• On termination, your right to access paid directories ends; institution data is handled per their retention policy and our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in Colombo, unless your institution’s agreement specifies otherwise.
